Very nice score indeed .. This one looks like it will be fun ..
Been watching this bike on craigslist for a while, just never been able to hold money to buy one. After selling Lexy, I had a lump of cash. I managed to work with this guy and he let it go to me.
Blast, XBlast and XB hehehe
Did:
-Began tuning via ECMSpy and ECMDroid
-Got my front blinkers mounted last night, not as scared of popo anymore.
-Cleaned up wiring behind front fairing.
-Loosened the lower triple tree since my wheel was still tweaked a little. Loosened both sides, wiggled the wheel back and forth and kicked it a few times. Then tightened the tree back up. Now the bars and wheel are aligned perfectly.
-Changed forks preload from 4 to 5.5, compression/rebound to 1.5 each and rear to #3 with compression/rebound to 1.5/1.25
-Tighten mirrors
-Straightened left bar
-Found nipple
-Removed belt guard
-Tightened rattling front fender
-White wire mod
-Shimmed headlight bracket so it fits in the hole better
-Replaced some chrome allen bolts with black carriage-bolt-style fasteners
-Put two bolts in the seat instead of just one
-Replaced bent bolts in airbox cover and used all four instead of two
-Installed fourth bolt in upper shock mount bracket
-Bolted down bracket holding front brake line
-Re-installed front flashers
-Plugged two nails in rear tire
-Re-organized wires behind dash
-Fixed key-latch for pillion
-Installed tray inside pillion
-Fixed battery positive connection (starts so much better now)
-Removed extra bracket from tag frame
-New Amsoil 20w-50 in engine and transmission
-New oil cooler scoop
-New Brisk BR10ZS plugs
To Do:
-Looking for rear tire and asking shops what they charge to press out/in wheel bearings.
-Get a hold of lunaticfringe and get some of those EBC HH brake pads.
-TPS reset
-Strip paint
-Springs for pegs
-Acquire passenger pegs and mount the hangers/pegs.

I wonder how the light output of that custom setup is compared to the OEM parts. It looks like you got a nice new toy!
Still putting RB's heart into an XB frame?
Good luck with it Lee nice bike if I was to buy another Buell that be the one I'd want.

Tim Hackbert would love that paint job, me - not so much - not really a go army guy - still - nothing a good paint job couldn't cure, and I like the front fairing - a euro offering - one HID kit later and you'll have all the light you'll need, and none of the stock XBR lighting hassles to live with. That's a plus! Just have to sit down with ecm spy and show it some tuning love, a new rear tire - recommend Michelin Road Pilot 3, for the average rider they are beating everything out there, and what I would have went to, but I kept getting free new Pirrelli stockers, so never switched. Of course the obligatory oil change - top and bottom, probably adjust the clutch while I'm there just to make sure of stuff. Should be golden - I would just ride her for a bit after that to get used to her then new paint, frame sliders and axle sliders - and she'll be a keeper all the way through to grandchildren and their darn fangled electric motorcycles!

Check the wheel bearings if suspect. My 03s rear bearings are shot and need to be replaced
