My friend works at a cnc shop so before I ship my old one over to stang he is taking it to CAD and he is going to cut me one from aircraft aluminum. If it can be done fairly cheap would anyone be interested ?? metal last forever unlike plastic. he might even be able to change design some if we think it could be improved.

well I am going to weigh the plastic and figure out how much the metal will weigh. certain grade metals will not be much heavier. maybe a few ounces. plus its going to be hollow in the back like the plastic one so that will reduce weight.

There are reasons why automotive companies are using plastic for intake manifolds now. Durability by less damage on impact, reliability with no issues that would be had from metal and cooler operating temps.

I wanna see one when finished, very interested.

    Found it -
    That could work -
Chrome Alloy 2.5" Length Velocity Stack for Harley Big Twin - www.debrix.com
The rest are too long - get in the way of the leg, as it is - some would cut the last 1/2" off. - nice to know and find!
