Default Tuning issue.. hesitation and bogging out at WOT

Im having some issue with the bike now since some upgrades. I have a sportster head pipe with a stock sportster muffler. I just added a velocity stack (speed dealer customs) and a outerwears filter. My current jetting is a 48 pilot and a 175 main. I have 2 shims on my needle and my idle screw is out 2 3/4 turns.

The bike runs ok at lower RPMs but as soon and i give her gas it seems to die out in the upper rpm range. Im not sure if it is a too rich condition or too lean. I just had the exhaust on before with a 45 and 170 and it ran fine. I could take it all the way to red line.

Im thinking i added too much fuel. but let me know what you guys think.

Link to my stack if this helps

I rode to work this morning without the filter on and it seemed to run better not perfect but better. Which makes me think its too rich. I thought with the exhaust a intake setup id be okay with my jet choices.

Drop that 48 pilot down to a 46, it's too large.

I'm at sea level. I had cams, stack, exhaust and head polished ... 48 was too rich and I ran a 46 just fine. Anyone that claims 48 is what they need, is wrong.

You'll be just fine with a 45...might want to try that for a bit before even going to the 46...although the 46 is probably the *right answer for your setup...
