Pretty sure they work the same. Funny thing I was studying the Rhonin bike and noticed it has a re-badged Koso dash.

    Got this:

    Looks like this:

    I followed mik's wiring instructions.:
Just installed the above tach. I used an old bracket that I modified and screwed into the side of the speedometer bracket thing. I ran the green and black wire back along the frame to the harness junction. Tapped green into pink, black to black. I ran the Orange and red wires (one's for switched 12V and one is for switched headlight source) to the blue wire coming out of the headlight switch on the left handlebar. I ran them both to the same wire because I don't care to have different light levels. I didn't wire in the yellow wire (constant 12V) because I don't care about setting the tach background lighting to a memorized setting. The default red is fine for me. Fired it up and it worked just fine. Good smooth reading.

    Pics to follow later.

edit: I have stock ignition, not aftermarket.
And here is the tach I put on my wife's Blast today. Her Blast is purple, and she loves the purple backlight on the tach.

If I purchase a tach for my Blast the question is going to be: "Does the spark plug fire every time the piston comes up, wasted spark, or does the spark plug fire only on the firing stroke?"

If it's the stock ignition, It should only fire on the compression stroke.

I used 10/32 x 3/8 bolts to attach it to the outer rim of the speedometer.

Ding...ding...ding....winner, winner, chicken dinner! Blue Loc-tite it was.

Plan A was locking nuts. They are too thick.

Plan B was a small fender washer, and nut. The thought behind the fender washer was to distribute the clamping force.

The smallest fender washer I could find was too big in diameter. So, I got washers that were slightly larger diameter than the nut. They didn't work, either. The combined thickness of the washer and nut was too much for the little gap under the outer rim of the speedo.

I did find a couple of ultra-thin, stainless washers in my junk drawer, and I used those. So, Plan B.v2 in the end.

It was kind of a PITA to get the nut on the bolt...I actually stripped two bolts by cross threading the nut...the nut wants to sit at an angle, and there's not a lot of room to get it aligned with the bolt. Or, maybe I'm just an idiot...there is that distinct possibility.
