Hey - that's why I started this thread - modifications are cool and many a Buell carry some mod or the other - individualism for fit - lol - and I like hearing about different versions - it you could weld - a whole different style could be created comming from the exhaust mount sub cage that also holds the kick stand - lol - I've seen them made from XB passenger pegs - very interesting - I've seen them done by cutting and redrilling mounting points on the stock arms - ala mmelvis - a Blastard who races his Blast in Fla.

OK I did the EZ airbox mod with a K&N drop in an never like the fit of the filter. So I took a peice of 2 1/2" ID exhaust pipe about 3" long an welded a big washer I make out tin about 5/8" in on one side. I tapered the outer egde so the filter go on nice an snuge now! Then I took a torch heated up the other end an push it thru the inside of the airbox right over the old filter mount an out. Then I glued the new part in an after it dried I went to the muffler shop an had them expand the end 1" in to a little over 3" ID an cut off the 1''expandion an you got a nice little velocity stack works great!! I'll post some pics soon.

Here's the pics I opened up the scoop on outside too! I also don't like the way the airbox seals so I use a little grease all the way around the seal a little trick from my dirt cars days!

Bravo - very nice indeed! Since the air box is supported there is no weight issue and it looks tight - I'd paint it black, but thats just me - nicely thought out.

A great alternative for the stocker Blast:
    Thank you goes to JLance!

I decided to change the transmission fluid in the Blast tonight. If you've never done it, that sounds simple. But it requires removing the left foot peg bracket to get access to the derby cover. Someone at Buell deserves a good killing for how difficult it is to get the foot peg bracket off. I've watched Mark do it before so I knew it was hard. I thought I could handle it, but I was wrong.

Not to be defeated, I embarked on a Blast Improvement Project.

A handy gasket I found in a drawer and couple T27 Torx drivers...

    All the planets align...

    Shazam!

Next problem is the kick stand is right where the oil drain pan needs to go.
A trip to Lows for a piece of rod... Lean the bike to the left to drain the
    fluid...

Oh wow, I can even get to the clutch adjustment.

Lean the bike to the right to fill the primary.

You can clean that hole up with a nice zinc or SS bolt when not in use.
