    I'm hoping you're using the service manual because it will save you from a lot of headaches (you can find it at Buellmods).

    You will need to drain the primary fluid, loosen the primary tensioner, remove the left peg hanger, then open the clutch inspection window, loosen the clutch, remove the clutch cable from the ramp assembly, and then the primary cover should come lose, assuming you've removed all bolts from the primary cover (don't forget about the bolt in the center, near the shifter - I always seem to).
