I think this was discussed before, while it may work the sportster pipes are larger in diameter. Any expert opinions? I'm in the same boat.

Loss of back pressure, not necessarily good. The pipes are too long and would need to be cut down, however, the pipe needs to be long enough to give the right amount of airflow restriction, otherwise, you'll toast your valves: the larger the diameter, the longer the pipe needs to be.

Well i was thinking wouldn't the supertrapp make up for the back pressure loss of the bigger pipe?

For me, I wouldn't do it because I am looking for a direct-fit, because I don't have access to any fabrication equipment, which is why I'm looking for a direct-fit.

With the Sportster pipes, since they exit to the side of the bike, the header would not follow the same path as the Blast header, therefore leading to a custom-made mounting setup, and possibly having to bend the Sportster pipe to fit the Blast.

There is a thread about the Sportster exhaust on a Blast here.
