Got tired of the oil leak from the 6-row coolers. Got a used 8-row (08+) but figured out the connections are different, both on the cooler and the engine. So using the 08+ oil lines was out of the question as the hard parts also curved differently for the redesigned oil pump system in the later models. I set out to find some sort of fittings/adapters.
Off to Ace! I took a spare stock cooler to match the SAE fitting and the removable fittings from the 8-row to match up that side.
They have huge racks of SAE fittings, so finding a 3/8" Male SAE 45º flare was very easy. The cooler side of the fitting needed to be 9/16-18 thread, as found in the bolt/nut section of the store. Unfortunately they didn't have ANY brass fittings that were the correct thread. I ended up chancing it and grabbed a proper flare with a 1/4-NPT on the other side. It threads in a little loose, but the next size up was too large.
Went home, and noticed the stock 8-row fittings have an o-ring. No worries, grabbed my Dremel and eliminated the last row of threads...perfect. Snugged everything together, fits nice, then cranked down and sealed it all together. 300 miles later (or so) and not a single drop of oil. Washed the bike, I'm happy now.

No longer for sale. Had an interested guy, but he took too long to get his money to me. With the EBR wrecked, this has been re-commissioned to daily rider. Wife changed her mind on the required sale (part of the deal to get the EBR) and this has become my back-up bike.
Rebuilt the transmission a couple weeks ago, I have 3rd gear again. Just put a new Q3 on the rear as well.

Put on a stainless steel Magnaflow (10414 I think) a couple days ago. The exhaust doesn't have the tinny overtone of the Jardine. At cruise it's a little quieter, but when under load it's got a LOUD bark!
I like it. Adjusting tune for it now.

Going to put some 12:1 Wiseco pistons in it. 60k miles on it right now, could use some new rings; need to rebuild the top-end anyways with fresh gaskets.
