There should be an arrow on the top of the piston. Orient the piston to point towards the front wheel.

If there is no arrow, then the larger valve relief is the intake, which is at the rear.

My Blast dyno'd 31/28 hp/tq, with a hollowed stock muffler and open carb...waaay back in like 2008/2009. They're normally like 28/25 hp/tq in stock form.
